Greg Cockerill - Owner and Graphic Designer of Ash Creative

Ash Creative was established in 2014, with the studio's name a nod to our black Labrador at the time.

Prior to founding Ash Creative, I spent a decade in the advertising and design industry. After working across several design firms, I held a contract role at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, where I implemented exhibition graphics and wayfinding signage throughout the newly opened museum. I then relocated overseas, undertaking design work in the United Kingdom — interspersed with travel through Europe and the United States.

On returning to New Zealand, I joined Promotus Advertising (now Hemisphere), followed by working closely with NZ Post and Tourism New Zealand, before Ash Creative transitioned from a part-time venture into a full-time business.

During this period, I worked with clients including Samsung, Telecom, BCITO, Suzuki, Save the Children, and Bayleys, in addition to numerous small business clients.
